Here's some freelance work I done for a friend of a friend, who's now createing online games with his own company, ZiCorp Studios.
You may remember back with Aliah, I mentioned about joining with ZiCorp to bring Aliah into the gaming arena. Back then, nothing along these lines ever progressed, due to (at the time) limited knowledge of the technical side of 3D gaming. Since then, imformation on this has been removed from the site. Although, I'm happy to announce that their second game is to be a multi platform shooter, a sequel to their current game.

The job here was to recreate some aspects of the NEXUS GENERATION scoreboard, for a revamped version of the scoreboard below.

Before ever seeing this scoreboard, I was given an image to work from. I've put it on a black backing so you can see the details.
Please always give full details of the project if you want me to give you my best quality.

So off I went. Firstly starting with the spherical object, just to see how good my modelling skills really are. Not bad for something basic I think. Then I built the board itself, trying to capture every detail.
What I didn't do, and now know for future building, was to have the original image in my 3D window so I could build everything to exacting scale. So all the modelling here is done simply by estimating.

Then I did some basic texturing to finish it off, and supplied all textures so they could make their own improvements. I also replaced the scoreboard backing, once I was told what this was for, to a 2D trasparency map.
My doing the textures for any of this wasn't nesscessary, it was mainly for fun and thought it was good to give them as a guildline.
